Alternative Title
What Kind of Place is Heaven: Between Muslims and Christians
Description
The argument is that Jesus would never go to the green luxurious paradise and sexual lusts that Muhammad dreamed of. In India the government prohibits the sale of women and males, but in the Muhammadan paradise there is a bazaar where women are sold. Muhammad had taken his ideas about paradise not from God but from ideas spread by Persian traders in Mecca. Very lightly Arabised Bengali quoting many passages from the Qur'an but also in standard Bengali, no Arabic. The author is an important Christian missionary, Reverend John Teckell.
Title translation and description by Dr. Dennis Walker, Monash Asia Institute, Faculty of Arts, Monash University.
