2 March 1944. Surveyed by Liet. D.M. Gordon H.M.S "Royalist" 1848 with additions from later admiralty surveys to 1937. All bearings are true & are given from seaward. Underlined figures on the drying banks and rocks express the heights above the datum to which the soundings are reduced. All other heights are expressed in feet above high water springs. For abbreviations see admiralty chart 5011. Soundings in fathoms reduced approximately to the level of Indian spring low water. According to later determinations the longitude of all places on this chart should be diminished by about 1'40" (1937). Engraved 1852. New editions 1864, large corrections 3rd Sept 1926, 14th July 1939. date top corner 7-11-44. Includes chart of tidal information. Many hand writen comments. Reproduced by Hydrographic Branch, Syndey, from British Admiralty Charts.
